3LS | 3 Line Strike Strategy [Kintsugi Trading]What is the 3LS | 3 Line Strike Strategy?
Incorporating the 3 Line Strike candlestick pattern into our strategy was inspired by Arty at The Moving Average and the amazing traders at TheTrdFloor .
The Three Line Strike is a trend continuation candlestick pattern consisting of four candles. Depending on their heights and collocation, a bullish or a bearish trend continuation can be predicted.
In a symphony of trend analysis, price action, and volume we can find and place high-probability trades with the 3LS Strategy.
How to use it!
----- First, start by choosing a Stop-Loss Strategy, Stop PIP Size, and Risk/Reward Ratio -----
- Stop-Loss Strategy
Fixed PIP Size – This uses the top/bottom of the indicator candle and places a TP based on the chosen Risk:Reward ratio.
ATR Trail (No set Target Profit, only uses ATR Stop)
ATR Trail-Stop (Has set Target Profit, however, stop is based on ATR inputs)
**If you choose an ATR Stop-Loss Strategy - input the desired ATR period and Multiple you would like the stop to be calculated at**
**ATR Stop-Loss Strategies have a unique alert setup for Auto-Trading. See Auto-Trading Section**
- Risk/Reward Ratio = If you have a .5 risk/reward, it means you are risking $100 to make $50.
- Additional Stop PIP Size = Number of PIPs over the default stop location of the top or bottom of the indicator candle.
----- Next, we set the Session Filter -----
Set the Timezone and Trade Session you desire. If no specific session is desired, simply set the Trade Session to 00:00 - 00:00.
----- Next, we set the Moving Average Cloud Fill -----
Enter the Fast and Slow Moving Average Length used to calculate trend direction:
MA Period Fast
MA Period Slow
These inputs will determine whether the strategy looks for Long or Short positions.
----- Next, we set the VSA – Volume Spread Analysis Settings -----
Check the box to show the indicator at the bottom of the chart if desired.
This is just a different visual output of the VSA | Volume Spread Analysis indicator available for free under the community indicators tab. You can add that indicator to your chart and see the same output in candle format.
In combination with the Moving Average Cloud, the Volume Spread Analysis will help us determine when to take a trade and in what direction.
The strategy is essentially looking for small reversals going against the overall trend and placing a trade once that reversal ends and the price moves back in the direction of the overall trend.
The 3LS Strategy utilizes confirmation between trend, volume, and price action to place high probability trades.
The VSA is completely customizable by:
Moving Average Length
MA-1 Multiplier
MA-2 Multiplier
MA-3 Multiplier
Check out the VSA | Volume Spread Analysis indicator in the community scripts section under the indicators tab to use this awesome resource on other strategies.
----- Next, we have the option to view the automated KT Bull/Bear Signals -----
Check the boxes to show the buy-sell signal on the chart if desired.
----- Next, we set the risk we want to use if Auto Trading the strategy -----
I always suggest using no more than 1-3% of your total account balance per trade. Remember, if you have multiple strategies triggering per day with each using 1%, the total percent at risk will be much larger.
For Example – if you have 10 strategies each risking 1% your total risk is 10% of your account, not 1%! Be mindful to only use 1-3% of your total account balance across all strategies, not just each individual one.
----- Finally, we backtest our ideas -----
After using the 'Strategy Tester' tab on TradingView to thoroughly backtest your predictions you are ready to take it to the next level - Automated Trading!
This was my whole reason for creating the script. If you work a full-time job, live in a time zone that is hard to trade, or just don't have the patience, this will be a game-changer for you as it was for me.
Auto-Trading
When it comes to auto-trading this strategy I have included two options in the script that utilize the alert messages generated by TradingView.
*Note: Please trade on a demo account until you feel comfortable enough to use real money, and then please stick to 1%-2% of your total account value in risk per trade.*

CCI Level ZoneThis strategy uses CCI 1000 as zones Buy sell if greater than level 100. will be seen as an uptrend If it's lower, it's a downtrend.
So we will use RSI. To trade in its zones, using the RSI crosses the level line, and when the RSI crosses the level line, it waits to buy with Stochastic.
Instrument-Z (3Commas Bot)Instrument-Z is what I am currently using as my 3Commas Bot.
It allows you to customize signals from 3 indicators; Crossing MA's, Stochastic RSI, and WaveTrend.
Better yet, it allows you to setup these signals separately depending on whether the Trend MA is going up or down.
So there are 2 sets of inputs for everything, Uptrend inputs and Downtrend inputs.
I have realized that we can't expect a strategy to work the same way in an uptrend vs downtrend, so the inputs should be separated too.
In my testing, separating increased the net profit by 60% on average.
You can select whether you are trading Long or Short.
You can choose your stop loss and take profit levels as well as trade expiration.
You can choose if you only want to trade with the trend (making the opposing signals irrelevant).
The trend is based on the Trend MA.
This script is specifically for cryptocurrencies.
I've noticed that MA crosses on other asset classes are unreliable because the fluctuations are not strong enough to push the MA's across each other in a meaningful way.
If you want to use this as a 3Commas Bot, then you will have to copy the code of the strategy and paste it into your own personal script.
Then you have to change the alert messages at the bottom of the script.
Make sure to change your alert message from this;
{"message_type": "bot", "bot_id": 0000000, "email_token": "0b000a0a-0aa0-00aa-0aa0-000a00000a0a", "delay_seconds": 0}
To this;
{\n\"message_type\": \"bot\",\n\"bot_id\": 0000000,\n\"email_token\": \"0a000a0a-0aa0-00aa-0aa0-000a00000a0a\",\n\"delay_seconds\": 0\n}
With \n after each new line and \ before each quotation.
In the Alert setup, select "alert() function calls only".
This indicator is like a middle ground of complexity between the Juicy Trend indicator and the Instrument-A indicator.
And because it does not feature my neural network project, I have made it open script.
Enjoy!
Juicy TrendThis script is simple.
It uses EMA and HMA crosses to find entries and exits.
There is an option for sourcing Heikin Ashi based entries/exits.
There is an option for Stop Loss percentage.
It is made for finding Long entries on the 45min chart.
You can optimize the signals by adjusting the moving average lengths.
The default settings are for BTC/USDT 45min.
Suggestion, reduce the Stop Loss percentage for smaller / more volatile assets.
PowerX Strategy BacktestThis script implements the Power X trading strategy by Markus Heitkoetter and Rockwell Trading. The strategy is described in detail in "The PowerX Strategy: How to Trade Stocks and Options in Only 15 Minutes a Day" written by Markus Heitkoetter.
The Power X trading strategy uses RSI, Slow Stochastic and MACD indicators. When RSI and Slow Stochastic are both greater than 50 and MACD crosses up the signal line, it signals an up-trend. If RSI and slow stochastic are both less than 50 and MACD crosses down the signal line, it signals a down-trend. Other conditions signal no trend. There is an official version of this indicator available: PowerX Strategy Bar Coloring OFFICIAL VERSION.
This script opens a long entry with an up-trend momentum and a short entry with down-trend momentum. Trades are exited when profit target or stop loss is reached. Profit target and stop loss are calculated based on 7 days Average Daily Range (ADR). If the momentum is lost, a trade is exited the next day. The quantity of assets to buy/sell is calculated based on the stop loss to limit the risk to a user defined percentage of the initial capital.
There is another implementation of the Power X trading strategy available by therealhaolu: Power X Strategy Back-test. However, according to the comments this script seems to have some flaws.

ATR trailing Stop Loss tight to slack [Takazudo]This is a demo of ATR based trailing Stop Loss.
This SL strategy uses 2 types of ATR based SL.
tight SL as initial (ATR * 1.5)
slack SL as trailing (ATR * 4)
When any entry singal occurs by the buy/sell conditions, this SL strategy uses the "tight SL" as the initial SL.
Then the SL will chase the price as trailing SL. However, this strategy uses the "slack SL" in this trailing phase.
So you can set the tight SL first.
Then SL will chase the price as the slack one.
Note: The entry strategy in this script is not intented to win. Check the result. Be careful. Just a module of my strategy.
SuperB By RafaelZioniThis strategy is based on an indicator called "SuperB", created by RafaelZioni. All the credits of this script belong to him.
All I did was converting the indicator to strategy using the buy/sell indicators, so you can back-test it easily.
Improved simple RSI Buy/Sell at a level (SL/TP)Improved Simple Strategy based on RSI, using overbought or oversold levels.
Backtest: ETHPERP (FTX) - 30m
Set STOP LOSS and GET PROFIT as a percentage (2% and 10% by default).
If strategy.position_size != 0 algorithm convert percentages into points and set stop loss and take profit limit orders.
RSI-VWAP Indicator %█ OVERALL
Simple and effective script that, as you already know, uses vwap as source of the rsi, and with good results as long as the market has no long-term downtrend.
RsiVwap = rsi (vwap (close), Length)
The default settings are for BTC in a 30 minute time frame. For other pairs and time frames you just have to play with the settings.
█ FEATURES
• The option to start trading from a certain date has been added.
• To make the profit more progressive, a percentage of your equity is used for entries and a percentage of your position is used for closings.
• The option to trade in Spot mode has been added, since, for the TradingView backtest, the money is infinite and if you do not limit it somehow,
it would offer you much better profits than the live trading.
QuantityOnLong = Spot ? (EquityPercent / 100) * ((strategy.equity / close) - strategy.position_size) : (EquityPercent / 100) * (strategy.equity / close)
• The option to stop the system when the drawdown exceeds the fixed limit has been added.
Drawdown, as you already know, is a very important measure of risk in trading systems.
The maximum drawdown will tell us what the maximum loss of a trading system has been during a period. This maximum loss is determined by:
strategy.risk.max_drawdown(Risk, strategy.percent_of_equity)
• Leverage plotted on labels added.
█ ALERTS
To enjoy the benefits of automatic trading, TradingView alerts can be used as direct buy-sell orders on spot, or long-close orders with leverage.
Currently there are Chrome extensions that act as a bridge between TradingView and your Exchange or Broker.
This is an example of syntax for this type of extensions. Copy and paste a message like this into the alert window:
{{strategy.order.action}} @ {{strategy.order.price}} | e = {{exchange}} a = account s = {{ticker}} b = {{strategy.order.action}} {{strategy.order.alert_message}}
█ NOTE
Certain Risks of Live Algorithmic Trading You Should Know:
• Backtesting cannot assure actual results.
• The relevant market might fail or behave unexpectedly.
• Your broker may experience failures in its infrastructure, fail to execute your orders in a correct or timely fashion or reject your orders.
• The system you use for generating trading orders, communicating those orders to your broker, and receiving queries and trading results from your broker may fail.
• Time lag at various point in live trading might cause unexpected behavior.
• The systems of third parties in addition to those of the provider from which we obtain various services, your broker, and the applicable securities market may fail or malfunction.

MA Strength StrategyThis is based on Aligned Moving Average Index published earlier:
But, instead of scoring trend based on how many moving averages are aligned, we are considering upside score. Higher scores are assigned for slower moving averages and lower scores for faster moving averages to give more stress to long term trend.
Buy/Sell conditions are based on moving average crossover on the upside score sum of Loopback days.
This is a very rough idea which seems to have been working ok on long only trades. Can be further improved.
Bollinger %B Candles StrategyStrategy built based on earlier published indicator:
Looks to be doing good for short term swing trades. But, I am not sure if there is repainting. I tried to avoid buy/sell trades on same day - but wasn't successful.
So far back-tested on following:
COINBASE:BTCUSD - works on both long and short
CURRENCYCOM:GOLD and equities - long only.
Some of the failures: ASX:WPL , ASX:WHC , ASX:NHC
As usual for back-testing - using 1000 as initial capital with 100% invested on each trade and no compounding so that it will be easy to compare with buy and hold. Trade with caution :)
2 Candles Inside ATR2 agitated candles falling inside ATR range, awaiting possibly a big move.
Buy / Sell signals at combined high / low can be used as order with other as stop loss.
Counter trade, when this minimal stop loss is hit, is also as useful. However, wait till the SL candle closes, before opening position on the other side.
Works quite well on 15 mins chart, with settings of ATR duration 25 and multiplier 0.6. These settings are configurable, so feel free.
RAT Moving Average Crossover StrategyThis is based on general moving average crossovers but some modifications made to generate buy sell signals.
DEMA Strategy with MACDThe Double Exponential Moving Average (DEMA) indicator was introduced in January 1994 by Patrick G. Mulloy, in an article in the "Technical Analysis of Stocks & Commodities" magazine: "Smoothing Data with Faster Moving Averages"
It attempts to remove the inherent lag associated to Moving Averages by placing more weight on recent values. The name suggests this is achieved by applying a double exponential smoothing which is not the case. The name double comes from the fact that the value of an EMA (Exponential Moving Average) is doubled. To keep it in line with the actual data and to remove the lag the value "EMA of EMA" is subtracted from the previously doubled ema.
DEMA is a very responsive system. A lot of signals can be generated only when trading with DEMA. In this strategy, I combined Dema buy-sell signals with MACD indicator. When you activate MACD confirmation from settings; When DEMA comes to long situation, the MACD histogram is checked to be positive.
